CSPD Narcotics Team Make Major Drug Bust:. On January 18, 2025, CSPD Metro Narcotics Unit (MNU) was notified that a vehicle carrying a large amount of methamphetamine could be coming into the Colorado Springs area.

K9 Nyx alerted at the presence of a trained odor emitting from the target vehicle. During the search, three large bins were discovered in the truck bed. It was later determined two of the bins contained approximately 107.2 pounds of methamphetamine.

On Monday, January 20, at about 4:40 PM, the CSPD 911 communications center received a call for service. The reporting party said a person had been shot in the parking lot of the King Soopers in the 5800 block of Stetson Hills Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they found.

1 person deceased inside of a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. A suspect has not been identified or located at this time, and this is an active investigation. The homicide unit is responding and will assume the investigation. Further updates will come from the PIO.

CSPD is on the scene of a shooting in the King Soopers parking lot in the 5800 block of Stetson Hills Boulevard. Media is asked to stage in the McDonald’s parking lot across the street, at 5450 Tutt Boulevard. An on-scene supervisor will provide a briefing there when possible.
