Many breeders dont seem to be able to ditch a project.. I do. 98% of breeding projects get dropped.
It looks good, but the smoke is not all that great. 4/5 plants are not very desirable with weird sour flavors from the flo parent. Light airy

What a wild day... so a squirrel fried himself and blew up a transformer out front causing a power surge for our building. I lost a few grow lights and the power supply in my desktop PC. Dam what a nightmare.. power was down a few hours. Had to do some electrical work, the ground

I'll start with the white bucket, bottom right. That was a hunted flocane S1F1, its a clone off a plant in my veg tent, tangerine one I nicknamed it.

Started to defoliate some big upper leaves, my rh was sky rocketing from these sweaty LYCDs. Looks a bit bare to me without those large upper leaves but much needed so light can penetrate down through them more. I normally wait till week 2 after the stretch before defoliations.

Harvest day for my tester, these are blackberry kush x slurricane R1's he was testing. It passed stress tests, so we will begin pheno hunting this strain... hmm, what to call it...

This is flocane (pheno 2), i backcrossed it with slur pollen earlier in 2023. We grew out some of the seeds out, 2 phenos appear, one that smells like oranges, the other sour and sweaty. Hoping to pick a F3 pheno soon.

Should I drop some flocane beans? I have about 400 flocane S1 that I have been testing the last year. They are not perfect, but they made this.... we find that you can get keepers in 5 or 10 beans with this batch...
Have about 100 more slurricane seeds left as well...

Back at it today, there’s always one special bud or plant in the crop that gets equal light from all directions. It’s not directly underneath the lights kinda in the shaded areas and this one was it what a freaking beauty.

This crop underwent the harshest stress tests I have ever done,3 rounds of tests, 3 grows... its 1 of very few that have ever passed them all. 99% fail.. this LYCD will get bred on to the next generation, pheno hunted, geno hunted, than 3 grows of stress testing like this pheno

Hope this is ready for 420... LYCD S1 seeds should be done by then. This is a 10 to 12 week flower time, I can speed it up a bit by dropping to 11/13 light hours...

Turns out the biggest plant was a slurricane BC2 and not a flocane. I knew I had 2 slurricanes. Shes a keeper... real dank and dosidos- like 👍

This is almost hypnotic...
I sure love this plant.. cannabis. It's been a big part of my entire existence. These clones show traits of both parents, the pheno I selected has good traits from NYCD and slue. Grape, candy and gas.

UVB burning made the RH jump 10%.
Does it ever make them sweat.
I give them more and more UVB the last weeks of flower as a stress test- most fail this test. The idea here is to force some 'nanners' out before they finish. A pass is to see none even when over-done. Stress also

Weird colorful flocanes
I broke a branch off the flocane s1 clone, not pictured, tasty batch. That one I called tangerine. Combining flo with slurricane truly made something quite different smelling, tasting, and looking.
