RT @Pastor_Gabe: How effective are those #HeGetsUs ads really, which cost $8 million per 30-seconds during the Super Bowl? Consider this:…

I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA. Still, if there’s one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember. I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us. 2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys.. But coming for it all.

@AdamLeviLAX @GraemePerrow Based on being there and on previous reporting, I want to say that San Diego has not scored a goal AT HOME in the last 58 minutes and 22 seconds of gameplay. Not much of an official stat considering the road games in-between, but certainly interesting nonetheless if accurate.

@WESPN I saw some old highlights from the NFL Throwback YouTube the other day - there's a charm and a visual harmony to the red vs. blue conference-rooted matchup, regardless of outcome.

@mattkauzlarich Regardless of sentiment or extent of agreement, I personally appreciated the heart of this breakdown / explanation I stumbled upon from Andrew T. Walker - and most of all, I pray to recognize the ways in which I fail to live it out. 🫡
Re: @JDVance's statements about the priority of caring for others, there's some good-faith confusion about how to reconcile the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:29-37) with the command to give preferential care for one's own household (1 Tim. 5:8). Scripture does not err, so how could we reconcile an apparent tension? Here's how I would reconcile it: In a Christian ethic, every person is my neighbor (without regard to any distinguishing characteristic, which is historically scandalous), but not everyone is my neighbor in the same way. Certain situations notwithstanding (like the Good Samaritan meeting an extreme necessity with the proximate agency to remedy it), we should look first to the good of those with whom we have deeper relationships. There is a command to give preferential care to those to whom you have greater relational proximity. But that does not excuse overlooking the needs of others with radical hospitality when one possesses the capacity to render aid. We do not parcel out care based on ethnic differences, even while we maintain a priority to care for those for whom we have deeper ties. got it correct here. Anyone who depicts his statements as trying to narrow the canopy of mercy and love is interpreting a whole tradition of Christian thought uncharitably. Let me add: I think @JDVance got it right here. Anyone who depicts his statements as trying to narrow the canopy of mercy and love is uncharitably interpreting a whole tradition of Christian thought.

@mattkauzlarich It's my understanding that Luke 10 is a revelation that all have failed to love as the righteous standard of God requires, and therefore, must trust in Christ alone, as Savior, for forgiveness. That we've all failed to love as God commands. We've all been the self-righteous man.
