We are concerned that strong language in the #FES2023 to “crack down on short-term rentals,” with a plan to deny the deduction of actual allowable expenses incurred for short-term rental properties, could create inequities in the tax system with no clear sense that it will meaningfully improve Canada’s housing supply.

The Government of Canada has an excellent book “The Little Black Book of Scams 2nd edition” that covers many types of fraud situations and is an excellent place to start. Also, request a fraud session for your organization/community and have a CPA present a financial literacy session on Fraud Protection: #FraudChat
