God is good! He has been out 5 hrs since surgery & is in high spirits. Thank u 2 everyone who has prayed 4 him over the last 24 hours.Thank u so much 4 the texts, calls, messages & visitors. Today is day 1 of recovery & knowing @HudsonNix5 he will be on a mission from here on out

The Nix Family is blessed beyond measure. We are officially moved into our new house but it will take sometime to unpack. We love our new home and can’t wait to make memories in it. Lots of potential for sure and we can walk down to lake buckhorn from out lot. God is Great!

Just completed my Masters of Science in Kinesiology @GeorgiaSouthern. If your looking for a masters program this is a great one and I would definitely recommend it. Taking one semester off and then going go get my Specialist.

A Nix family tradition while traveling is to stop & see any college campus or stadium. They were having their last bowl practice before they headed out & it was closed so we couldn’t get a lot of pics. Southern Miss has a pretty campus. Good luck against Tulane! #LastDayof2019

Missed Hudson’s basketball game today b/c of Wrestling.He ended up w/ 24 points which is great but the biggest stat 2 me was that he took 4 charges which is unbelievable. Now I’m having 2 pay 4 it b/c the deal is if he takes a charge it’s a Chick-fil-a sandwich.I still owe him 3.

Just want to say thank you to my wife Kacy, my kids, my family and all my friends who made today a special day. Spent most of it game planning for Carrollton next Friday night but it was still a good one. I’m a very blessed man and I believe this is going to be a great year.

Today our Warriors went on another adventure 2 end the summer grind. We went 2 Helen, GA 2 tube down the river & have a cookout.Not only did we have a ton of fun but memories were made that will last 4 a life time.Thank U 2 every1 who made this happen #CultureChange #FearTheSpear

Last night as I was walking on to the field for pregame, I got 1 of the biggest surprises of my coaching career. I had a special visitor waiting for me in the rain & had no idea till I walked up on Markell Swannigan. I was reminded right then in that moment WHY I Coach & Teach.

On the way back from Hudson’s Baseball tournament today we saw a fishing hole and tried it out. This was off the bank of the Chattahoochee River. Didn’t have the best of luck but as a Daddy I enjoyed ever minute with my oldest son.

One of the greatest bits of advice my HS Head Football Coach @maxwell_sid told me my 1st year teaching/coaching with him was if I don’t see u around the field house then I take it coaching football isn’t important to u. Fast forward 18 years later & still to this day it’s true.

Thank you all for the prayers today for my dad. His surgery went well and now it’s time to rest and recover. I feel horrible for him because he had to be dropped off this morning and no one can stay with him at all. We aren’t to sure when he will be released yet either.
