The Éire Óg motion on setting up an independent committee to develop a 5-year strategic plan for Clare GAA has been backed by clubs and passed with no objections at tonight's County Board meeting.
Today our club mate Stephen McNamara and his teammates from the 1995 and 1997 are honoured 25 years on for their remarkable successes. Stephen is the holder of 3 Munster and 2 All Ireland Medals. Uniquely he is the third generation of his family to enjoy All-Ireland success.
Well done to Niall Malone who did a fine job of reffing in his first competitive senior intercounty game today in what was ultimately a one sided affair between Limerick & Kerry in the Munster Cup hurling semi. Onwards and upwards

Well done to our own Niall Malone & his trusty band of umpires who officiated at yesterday's U20B All-Ireland hurling final between Derry & Roscommon in Croker. 👌👏🙌
This is unfathomable, why arrange a knockout fixture to cause a direct clash with a clubs other knockout championship game. Very disappointing, particularly given the effort & expense our club gave for the ladies U12 finals last Sunday. A long way to go for 1 Club Model it seems
@Clarelgfa
What’s the story? After initially informing
@CLGEireOgInis
of a 12.30pm start for the ladies and then changing it to 2.00pm
@Clarelgfa
has left our two adult teams playing at the same time. Siblings on both teams! Hard to be at 2 games at once. Why the change?
Our senior footballers will defend their County title following a 1.11 to 3pt win over Corofin. Well done lads, hard luck to Corofin. Come on the Townies 🇮🇩
Great news to wake up to, a well deserved and 2nd in a row All-Star for our own Shane O'Donnell ⭐️⭐️ hard work pays off, congrats Shane, we are all thrilled for you 🇮🇩

A huge thanks to all the players & supporters that donated to yesterday's collection. A total of €1630 was raised and will be split between our 3 chosen charities:
1 Dillon Quirke Foundation
2 Jigsaw Foundation-Whitegate GAA St. Stephens Day Swim
3 The Gavin Glynn Foundation
Best wishes to Rory Hickey who hangs up the whistle after 20 years as the man in the middle. His retirement from referring leaves a gap that will be hard to fill. Their loss will be our gain as we hope to see him back on the pitch donning the red & white of ÉireÓg.
