Last week I had the joy of going to the @ISPCAN congress in Edinburgh 🏴 It was the 1st time in my PhD the whole research team was together in one place- our lovely colleagues flew out from South Africa. A special week of listening to amazing speakers and making new connections

I will never tire of South African sunsets! But don’t let the beautiful scenery fool you, the fieldwork is hard work! It’s been a tough but productive few weeks. Off to our next field site soon.

Seeing wild hippos by chance on our tea break perked up Saturday fieldwork 🌞 trying to absorb as much as I can whilst in South Africa. Let’s hope I get used to the heat!
