It is hard for kids to focus in the classroom if they are hungry. With funds from @Boeing, 40 families can fill their pantries with yummy food and snacks! Thank you, Boeing, for helping us address food insecurities and fulfill basic needs across the city.

The students at Excel Academy had a special visitor! Sunny from PAWS for Service Therapy Dog Organization taught students all about the benefits of a therapy dog. They learned that pets at home can help lower heart rate and blood pressure & can help us feel emotionally better.

Let’s Rodeo San Antonio! To kick off the rodeo season, our SC, Vanessa, partnered with our Re-Engagement team and the staff at Pease MS for a Cowboy Luncheon to honor the students who had great attendance! Students dressed in their best rodeo attire and enjoyed lunch together.

Our students are 100 days smarter! SCs Amanda & Val at Cable ES in @NISD celebrated 100 days of school with their students with an arts and crafts enrichment activity.

The junior @girlscoutsswtx JT Brackenridge ES in @SAISD had their first meeting of the year! They practiced Girl Scout promises & laws. They also shared their goals for Girl Scouts this year. They are so excited for all the adventure and fun Girl Scouts is going to bring!

Assistance League of San Antonio is not only making donations but also making a difference. They provided 408 jackets to every student at John Glenn ES in @NISD! “The students were very excited and showed their appreciation to all the volunteers,” said SC Jose!

Our little turkeys at Glenoaks ES made "Thankful Plates"! They discussed family traditions & being FULL of thankfulness. Some of the things students are thankful for are: "going to school," "a roof above my head," "myself," "needs being met," "family," and "friends"!

We have some happy campers at JT Brackenridge ES in @SAISD! With their SC, Alejandra, they celebrated the end of the school year with a camping-themed movie night. Students and their families enjoyed the food and movie snacks while in their comfy PJs and sleeping bags.
