My heart is broken this morning. Jack, the kindest gentleman, a great story teller and the sweetest smile. Having the honour of knowing you was a privilege. 106 years old is incredible but you have finally decided it’s time to gain your wings. Rest in peace my friend 🤍 #cafc

@CHATHMuseum Yes it is. I got to know Rodney very well after inviting him as a guest on my RTM Radio show, 'Charlton Chat'. Rodney was a very engaging man and he had some wonderful stories to tell. He had a great sense of humour too. Rodney used to pop into to see me in my @EFL offices now

The back of the heavily repaired poster says "To Steve, Best Wishes, Rodney" We're guessing Steve is @suthersuk but is that Rodney Stone, the former #cafc General Manager?

You can see one of the just replaced Valley floodlights on display in the Valley Room at the Museum along with one from the 2000s and another from the 1980s. We're open on Friday from 11 to 2.30 and AFTER Saturday's game. Free entry in Harvey Gardens #cafc
