@suhailpat @englandcricket I don’t disagree And if not playing for England means he plays every game for Lancashire then it’s not the end of the world 😂

@suhailpat @englandcricket I’m not fully writing Livingstone off, he wouldn’t get in my first 11 but he’s still a great fielder who has potential with the bat and a useful bowler, so in spinning conditions I don’t mind him at 7 In general I think Curran is the most balanced option there (Stokes aside)

@danbooth21 The more I think about it the more I think he’s perfect for 7 in odis. Can bank on him for 5+ overs and left arm option. Adds batting depth but can also send him up the order to absorb pressure and bide time if necessary, also LHB option

@danbooth21 Batting lineup way too short with Overton at 7. Brook, Buttler and Root all got out 5 overs too early because of remaining batters but by batting position they’d gone long enough

@StrawbzG @pl_watch7 @Utd_Forever7 This was the case at the turn of the year. The pattern has been pretty similar since that too. We don’t score goals with two defenders at wing back

@StrawbzG @pl_watch7 @Utd_Forever7 Literally the reason we’ve been so poor so far is because we’ve had defensive players at wing back. We need attackers there

@AcademyScoop In fairness this was literally right after he passed the ball out of play with a team mate right there. Odd choice of words but objectively it wasn’t wrong at that moment

@FPLfrasier @markgoldbridge Yeah exactly Bruno had done pretty damn good in the pivot but we simply miss him so so much in the final third

@Ray73723254 @WhittonMat43458 @englandcricket I’m all for having Buttler at 4 I think he’s earnt the added responsibility. Brook needs to score some runs quickly in the white ball game. We’ve got too many batters who don’t bowl in the mix to pick all of them

@BackOnYourTL @englandcricket He came in with 17 overs remaining today and decided to slog one to Mars two overs later. That was the exact situation to knock it around for 5 overs and he didn’t. And Salt is one of the least of our worries at the moment

@Matthew_Brown1 @BartTownley @englandcricket (I know it’s t20 leagues but) in the last 12 months he’s got 1,000 t20 runs averaging 38.4 at a SR of 136 His bowling has been poor but it’s no worse than Livingstone/Bethell and good enough to get through 5 or so overs in an ODI

@BartTownley @englandcricket Yeah I like the Curran at 7 option, his batting has improved lately more than bowling Gives you a 3rd left hander and a left arm seam option, 10 overs across him Root and Bethell is achievable Also think like today we’re 3 down in the 10th send Curran up to build a partnership
