@jacobdotgov The Raptors plan seems to be “let’s put together a starting five of nearly identical players despite being terrible trying that”, so who’s to say it won’t work if they try putting Brandon Ingram alongside Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett?

@TheAlexSylvian I think he won’t criticize anything publicly because he knows how hard it is to make movies at all and doesn’t want to lay it on or potentially make it harder for somebody to make another. His story about Cassavetes telling him he spent a year making a piece of shit is telling.

@WillSloanEsq It’s odd because, aside from Jeanne Dielman quite obviously being more than worthy, what about the rest of the lists suggests that the voters were making a deliberately subversive or inappropriate choice? These could have easily been the lists in 2012 (or 2002 minus Mood and MD).

@BarrelJumpist I know The Thin Red Line is probably a better movie, but in part because there’s no Barry Pepper as a Christian sniper and other little things like that, I kind of wish I were watching Saving Private Ryan when I do see it.

@PurpyNFL My stance is that the Eagles defense was outstanding and I did like seeing that, but it just wasn’t a competitive game, and I had to see an NFC rival steamroll the supposed GOAT QB. Kendrick’s an all-time great, but the show was just fine, and the ads sucked. It is what it is!

@jacobdotgov I hate Tom Brady and the Patriots too, but he barely lost that Super Bowl against a team with a great front seven, and the other two losses were one-score games where Brady was at least solid. Mahomes has gotten blown out in the Super Bowl twice; that’s got to mean something!

@MatthewFerrari Matt, you shared a little of your dad here, and if that was any indication, he was a kind, hilarious, original man who’s a big reason why you’re such a great, fun person. Take your time, and you’ll live and get through this!

@emilynesbitt96 It’s not quite as good as Pride and Prejudice, but A Dangerous Method is excellent. She’s more of a standby support for Benedict Cumberbatch in it, but The Imitation Game is also powerful (if extremely historically inaccurate).

@PurpyNFL I think the general consensus is he was hungover, which is not an easy thing to do given that the Bulls were in Utah, but if anybody could do that, it’s Michael Jordan!
