Many congratulations. Well deserved.
Very excited (and a little bit overwhelmed) to be elected as a Fellow of @AcadSocSci. Thanks to my colleagues who nominated, refereed and voted for me to join your ranks. I learned yesterday that it is quite a process! Congrats also to impressive colleagues also elected today.

I’m sure this multimillionaire, who seems to take great interest in the income of others, ain’t doing to badly. Hardly in a position to speak about the majority of working people in this country.
The Telegraph reveals Rachel Thieves and her senior civil servant husband are making £74K a year by renting out their two properties. Hard to know why she hates landlords. Thieves lives rent free in Downing Street and between them the couple earn in their day jobs over £200,000 a year. On her becoming Chancellor their 4-bed home in South London was rented out for £3,200 a month and husband was already renting out a two-bed flat in central London which he had since 2011 for £3,000 a month. All going rather well for the Reeves family. Not going badly for the bloke next door. Shame about the rest of us.
