Candidates vie for elected office through their political parties. In 2024, CEPPS worked with 112 parties across the political spectrum ahead of elections in 14 countries to help them thrive during the electoral cycle.

In support of electoral and political processes during the 2024 #YearofElections, CEPPS trained nearly 3,000 domestic observers to monitor elections. Observers ensure that elections are free and fair by monitoring the process and sounding the alarm when needed.

Democracies foster innovation by inviting new ideas into positions of decisional power, and healthy democracies reserve space for emerging leaders to join the policy discourse. In 2024, CEPPS supported +2,600 young people in building leadership skills for the next generation.

In 2024, CEPPS practitioners report that information integrity which reflects the quality, accuracy, reliability, & trustworthiness of information was the top challenge to elections. CEPPS supported +740 journalists to present unbiased election coverage in the #YearofElections.

In 2024, more than 75 countries held elections impacting half the global population. Average voter turnout broke 60%, which highlights the need for robust voter registration & education. This year, CEPPS reached +39M people through voter education campaigns.
