Did you know the first five minutes of Shrek 2 aired on U-Pick Live the night before its wide theatrical release? I have a couple promos for it on one of my SpongeBob tapes... but not the broadcast itself. Grrr...

Christmas Who? turns 20 in a couple months, and to this day it’s the *only* SpongeBob special from the first three seasons where a copy of its original broadcast hasn’t been found. The oldest copy I have is an ad-free airing of the last several minutes from that December.

Thanks to a friend of a friend, I now have one of the oldest Nickelodeon recordings known to survive... a Utopia concert that aired on Special Delivery.
Date is tricky to confirm, but I believe this recording's from either October 25 or 26, 1980.

6 years ago today, the Hub rebranded into Discovery Family. A couple days before that happened, I recorded an entire day of Hub programming as sort of an archival challenge to myself. Maybe if there's enough interest I'll see about posting the commercials somewhere.

Probably one of my luckiest accidents recording stuff as a kid. I think I only meant to record SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents--my favorite shows at the time--but I forgot I had the VCR running and ended up getting a nearly 4 hour long block of Nick shows instead.
