A mix of hope, shock and devastation: this is the overwhelming experience those who manage to return to the north of #Gaza are sharing with us. Check this 👇🏽
Returning home isn't easy. Families in northern Gaza return to rubble and homes with no roofs. Exhausted from the long journey, many are overwhelmed with hope, shock and devastation. The ICRC is working to provide lifesaving support, but the road to recovery is long.

We are increasingly concerned about the conditions surrounding release operations. We strongly urge all parties, including the mediators, to take responsibility to ensure future releases are dignified and private. The @ICRC consistently conveyed this message privately&publicly.
