SUVs are simply too large for city streets. We want to see higher charges for parking SUVs in UK cities and for better enforcement to prevent pavement parking to help reduce the impact of these large vehicles on our cities’ roads and public transport system.

Rail is already one of the most sustainable ways to travel but it's even getting greener! A rise in passenger kms last year has meant train emissions per passenger km have dropped by 31%, proving that the more people who use the train, the more emissions we can save.
Latest stats show that carbon dioxide equivalent emissions for passenger trains were down 5% between April 2022 and March 2023, compared with the previous year.
