On May 1, 1960, CIA agent Francis Gary Powers took off from PAF base Peshawar in his special U-2 Spy Plane.
His mission was to conduct reconnaissance deep inside Soviet territory.
Although the plane was supposed to be invisible, soviet radars spotted it and it was shot down.

On Nov 22, 1988 an Afghan military transporter aircraft carrying 30 people from Kabul to Jalalabad lost its way and entered Pakistani airspace.
According to Pakistan MOD it was asked to identify itself but it didn't.
The plane was shot down by ground fire near Parachinar.

1. That is common in Balochistan. Many government departments including excise and taxation use these confiscated vehicles after approval from CM.
