I still do this today. Shit happens. As long as people do what they can to avoid playing with cheaters. Ask for hours, get them to prove hours to you. Unprivate profile. Choose people with 1000 hours or more. Do they have 1500 hours and 1 achievement? That’s a red flag. Do they have 1500 hours but their account is 5 days old on BM. Ask them how long they have played rust. Do they say 2 years but the account they are on is 1 year old? Plenty of things a player can check. People might say oh but why do I have to do this? You don’t. But again don’t cry when you get banned for playing with a cheater for the 3rd time because you don’t want to put effort in. I put my effort in to check all this about the cheater. Just my 2 cents

I can only speak for myself but when I investigate I check if the team knows the cheater or has played with cheaters before from my years of notes. Sometimes a warning is handed out and this doesn’t always get communicated to the team. Sometimes I will just note it and see if they get the cheater back on then I remove the group.

I think the upkeep is fine. Most people’s bases would decay because they leave the server when pop goes down as they roam for hours and fight no one so they go play a different server. Majority of people I see play a server each couple of days especially with Monday wipes and Thursday wipes and some even wiping on saturdays. I am not just talking modded either
