People blamed Stereosonic for the drug OD's at the event in Melbourne & death in Adelaide in 2015.
The festival industry has been beaten by government, thier hands tied by prohibiting pill testing. It's negligent that we are still having the same conversation 9 years later!
Whilst the benefits of allowing pill testing are easy to identify, the justification for taxpayer support is less so. I propose the Government enable through legislation, but require the private sector to fund.

What the actual f. Considering the Labor candidates background is in domestic violence advocacy/assistance, this makes me sick.

We don't want politicians that lack tact and integrity.

THE LAWS ARE TOO COMPLEX FOR BUSINESSES TO UNDERSTAND.
I specialise in Employment Relations and business owners have no hope knowing all the laws that apply to their staff.

If elected I will hold the government to account, i'll stand in Parliament and look the Prime Minister in the eye, calling him out for acting like he's fighting inflation, when all he's doing is taking money off struggling Australians and failing to help those Aussies in need.

If people are going to take illegal drugs at a festival, they are going to do it anyway whether there is pill testing or not.
Atleast this way, they can know what they are taking and make an informed decision on whether they take that specific pill.

No, I'm saying stacking legislation on top of legislation is not going to make a difference. Employers need to be educated on the complexities of having staff.
The legislation needs to be simplified and accessible. Small business owners don't have time to read thousands of pages

No where in my post does it refer to tax payers footing the bill.
I'm sure most festivals would see this as a risk mitigation cost added into ticket prices. If not, there are other free volunteer services or private businesses that may come to the table.
