Final thought (for now) about PIAA Track: For all the debate there's been about state championship venues in HS sports, Seth Grove Stadium always brings it. Bleachers on both sides (and by the throws) were full for most of the meet. Crowd brought it. Made for a great atmosphere.

My PIAA takeaway: The last 24 hours have shown how much high school sports matter, how emotionally invested people are and how much they mean to the community. That's something we shouldn't take for granted moving forward, regardless of how we move forward.

That was a truly special Father's Day. Our Rose was discharged from the NICU, and my wife and I survived Night 1 of full-time parenting. It's a whole new ballgame (and a lot less sleep), but I'm so thankful for the gifts I've been given.
