@Mann2609 I couldn’t agree more. Our two audio drama productions of We The Living & The Fountainhead were just getting traction ( and delighted appreciation) on YT when they were shut down by Rand copyright holder. I offered to donate shows to Rand Foundation but they refused.

As a truthteller myself—though I would certainly like it—I don’t see Truth winning out anytime soon (*ever* really) as most folks in life are 2ndhanders. But knowing Roark is there is comforting to this quasi-misanthrope

@Nikos_17 @AynRandInst No one person owns truth, owns beauty. One recognizes them. The fact that they’re ideals makes them impersonal. They give meaning but are not possessed by the one they provide meaning to.

@AynRandInst @Nikos_17 The reason Howard Roark loves his work is because it is based on/is in harmony with larger ideals of truth and beauty—in other words something bigger than just himself.

I always strive to keep this account non-political, but when the UK Prime Minister orders a portrait of Shakespeare taken down from 10 Downing, I must weigh in and say, Wake up fellow artists and lovers of great works—remember how the Chinese Cultural Revolution turned out!

@jupy314 @danejudidench Disagree. Both should be held to acct. you shouldn’t be able to buy soda on the public dime and have soda VO’s profit off of addiction. But the addiction should not be encouraged as it ends up costing public more in emerg rm visits. .
