Very angry to hear that our clubhouse has been broken into yet again. Wish these mindless idiots would just leave us alone. Go and get a bloody life and stop spoiling ours.
Champions!!! Following today's results promotion has been secured for Burton. Well done to all involved in the league campaign this season, both on and off the field. No doubt a glass or two will be raised at the Players Dinner this evening.
Sadly last orders have been called at Peel Croft, but with no one allowed to enjoy the moment in history. It's a sad week as we pack up the Croft and say goodbye to our beloved home for many years.
Onwards and upwards as we take our memories with us in our hearts and minds x
There's a new Peach in the world!
Many congratulations to Billy and Laura Peach on the arrival of their new little lady, Lily Jane. Born on Sunday 5th January 2020, weighing 6lb.
We look forward to seeing her at Peel Croft very soon.
We might not of had the normal weekend of rugby we all wanted, but we're still building the dream for when we can welcome you all to Battlestead Croft.
On Monday 5th October we celebrate 150 years of rugby in Burton upon Trent. But COVID-19 has put paid to any celebrations. We will celebrate in style when the world allows it. So until then, stay home, stay safe and raise a glass or two of whatever your tipple might be 🍻🍷🥂🍹🍺
Happy 153rd Birthday to us!
Wednesday 5th October 1870
"Proposed by Mr Moxon, seconded by Mr G Lathbury: that all gentleman here present form a Club, to be called the Burton-on-Trent Football Club."
If only they knew what they started......
151 years young today!
I wonder if these men actually knew what they were starting and where we would be today?
Happy Birthday to us!

Happy 152nd Birthday to us!
Where it all began on October 5th 1870. I wonder what they would think of Battlestead Croft and how much Burton RFC has grown in those years?
Not the best day for our club, we were broken into last night and then this afternoon some rather unpleasant individuals have set fire to the stand. Photos on Facebook, let's find them!

What an absolutely fantastic day we had at our one last game for the over 45s on Peel Croft yesterday. 69 players took part in what can only be described as a unique display of champagne rugby. The crowd enjoyed what they saw, just a superb day out!

Thanks to all that contributed to our food drive campaign. We are truly grateful for your support and know this will go a long way within our community. COVID-19 is making life difficult for us all, however we are proving that we are more than just a rugby club.
The poster boys of mini junior rugby at
@BurtonRFC
Tony Williams and Rob Ridley. Today marked the 43rd season they have played rugby together, having starting their rugby journey many years ago at the age of 8. What an achievement, will they make it 44?
Our community day is back this year, bigger & better, so come along on Saturday 10th September for a Party on the Pitch!
It’s a brilliant, free day out at Battlestead Croft filled with rugby, live music & much more!

Third year running we have won the Rugby Club of the Year Award, but we already knew we were the best! Well done to our fabulous House & Bar Team for keeping us fed and watered at Peel Croft! Enjoy the celebrations!
Well done to the Burton Ladies who won their first trophy of the season yesterday at the x7s tournament hosted by Sutton Coldfield. 108 points scored in three games!
The results are in and your votes mean that

Welcome to the family ⚫️⚪️
Such sad news that came from Balmoral earlier this evening, the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts and prayers are with all her family at this sad and difficult time.
May she rest in peace.
Shocked to hear the news that Hugh Waddell has sadly passed away. A fine player of both codes of the game, but achieving huge success in rugby league. He will be greatly missed by many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad and difficult time.
We’re thrilled to announce our second signing of the summer. He has been honoured to captain the British police rugby team, in addition to being an experienced player in National 2. Welcome to Burton, Taff.
We are excited to announce our 5th signing of the summer, Charles Austin.
Charles is keen to take his game to the next level and we are looking forward to getting him in a Burton shirt. Welcome to the Burton Family ⚪️⚫️
Well it was a little wet and muddy at Peel Croft today, but a win for Bill Leason's XV. Many thanks to all who played and also the ref! Now it's time for a beer or two.
Thinking of the Williams Family this morning as they prepare to say farewell to Jamie. Although we can't be with them today to celebrate his life, we know that everyone at Peel Croft has them in their thoughts and prayers on this difficult and sad day.
Rest in peace Jamie x
As we all take time to think of all who have served in the armed forces past, present and in the future. We remember those members of our Club who made the ultimate sacrifice. Our memorials are being well looked after until they join us at their new home.

It was a little more quiet at Battlestead Croft today than we had planned, but let's hope that next year will be a bigger and better Boxing Day for everyone.
Christmas has arrived at The Croft....with some extra special Fairies on our tree this year....special thanks to Cheryl Dent & her gorgeous handmade gifts 🎁🎄🍷🎅🏼👑
