Well said in the BaB comments re: Bobby Portis
"He’s one of the most irrationally self-absorbed players in team history...he was a Wizard before he was a Wizard"
Reminder that GarPax haven't made a trade to improve their team (i.e. not salary dumps) since 2009 (the Salmons/Miller deal). It's one of the most remarkably pathetic achievements of their reign.
"I’m so f—ing locked in right now, and I will do anything that it takes to win man."

when you're debating whether to keep or punt Harrison, Arcidiocano, Selden, Blakeney, you're asking the wrong question. The right question is "what am I doing with my life?"
Boylen forced to wait an agonizingly-long amount of time before Kerr gives minimum acknowledgement they were indeed participating in the same competition
Bulls need to go all-in for the No. 8 seed to start the play-in tournament. 1 game back of Atlanta with 11 to play.
A first round series with the Bucks won't be much to look forward to even if they win two play-in games. BOS/PHI series could be slightly more interesting.
Chicago's deal to acquire Washington's Otto Porter for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker includes a 2023 second-round pick to the Wizards, league source tells ESPN.
I just don't understand consternation over the tank when the real negative byproduct of the Bulls winning is John Paxson believing in his coaching change.
Jimmy Butler sat down with The Undefeated to discuss his life and NBA career. Here are his reflections, as told to
@MarcJSpearsESPN
, on his rise to success, short stint with the Wolves, hopes with the
@Sixers
, and more.
my brain is so poisoned, I read this and immediately flash to future John Paxson interviews:
"We saw some real momentum with one win in Atlanta, then Otto got hurt and that really set us back. Not making excuses..."
Please, as the Bulls patiently explained: they didn't trade Bell, their draft board dried up!
It was important to them to clarify that they are cheap AND incompetent.
Denzel Valentine: DNP-CD
Ryan Arcidiacono: not on a roster
Al-Farouq Aminu: not on a roster
Cristiano Felicio: not in the country

Garrett Temple: 0 pts, 0-1 FGs, 15 mins

Just a little over 2 weeks until GarPax smugly insist this was actually a good season and Boylen is staying because they had a decent 4 weeks (in frigging NBA February), and I'm already so angry about it
current prediction for Bulls offseason at point guard:
- Keep leaking that Coby White is going to be gone
- He's not, they pick him and say "I can’t believe he fell to us"
- trade Dunn for nothing (maybe a "good guy" veteran who stinks)
- sign a vet PG who will get hurt
Don't assume the Bulls traded Jimmy Butler "to get out of mediocrity and compete for championships" when a much more likely explanation was "to not pay Jimmy Butler a lot of money"
according to
@WindhorstESPN
:
"One of the worst-kept secrets in the NBA is that Anthony Davis does NOT want to play in Chicago, his hometown."
Then talk later about AD's desire to play for 'a first-class franchise', so that tracks
