@JamesSurowiecki CNN - unwatchable TV. Rather watch TCM all day than this crap. Any show that would have Scott Jennings on it deserves zero viewership. They're working on it.

@EricLisann Wray? Can't get blood from a stone. But as we know, the original sinner was POS Garland.

@donwinslow Don, in times like this, political leadership is necessary, and Dems are not there yet. They need a war council with eloquent leaders. Then, when push comes to shove, the public protests should follow supporting their resistance. I think that's the proper order of events.

@P_Kallioniemi What has become of our preppy? Will St. George's revoke his high school degree, in shame? These preppies - honestly, they have a lot to overcome. Imagine being so stuffed up with crap that you will say anything.

@donwinslow They are set to support the coup. When Trump defies the court, what's gonna happen? It will rest with the police, then the military. Lots of fascists in their midst, and in their leadership. Power comes from the muzzle of a gun.

@moshik_temkin Hey, Moshik - did you ever read my excellent post about the Four Freedoms + Two? FDR came up with them himself, not his speechwriters. This is still a major fissure in America. Take a minute:

YES. This is true. The world is not united, it's split up with self-interested and often rather stupid politicians. Melania had it right - they really don't care. It's evident that statesmen are the rarest commodity of all. We need the women leaders.
It is surprising that the world has shown reluctance to put Putin in his place after three years of full-scale war, – Zelensky. I am also deeply troubled by how deceitful and hypocritical the world is. Proclaiming certain values, yet blatantly ignoring them. Saying "Never again," while allowing a new communist-Nazi regime to commit the same atrocities. Promising security guarantees, yet doing absolutely nothing. And now, the world wants to forgive this new Hitler, overlook all his crimes, and even reward him with occupied territories! This is outrageous!

@shotbysteph30 Well, you know, the Warriors came from Philly! I know, I grew up there, huge fan of Warriors. I saw Arizin play in Convention Hall in Philly, up close. Philly roots are important - Philly was always a hotbed of b-ball. I remember Wilt at Overbrook High. Then Kobe at Lower Merion

@Sheridanblog Podz' shooting was a problem, a big one. Now it's much better. He needs to get the mid-range going, à la Chris Paul. Then he'll really cut it.

@morgfair Trump's really a laugh-a-minute guy, isn't he? In medicine, we would call such a person "deeply injured."

@academic_la Netanyahu and the far right in Israel are the worst imaginable news Jews have had. We lose our reputation for prudent, righteous, thoughtful, kind, fair. Anti-Semitism? Look at Israel, and learn.

@BruceBartlett These people don't understand money. People buy gvt bonds because of safety of return. Govt supplies safety. Govt doesn't need that money - they print it! Read @StephanieKelton (or see her movie as i did) and don't listen to fooking Larry Summers.
