Yesterday at Potter’s House a woman in her 70s came in with a man in his 50s. He got her a ice tea, a sandwich, & gave her $10 - and then he rolled out. Leaving her alone at table in 95 degree heart. He didn’t say anything to anyone - just left her there.

I love DC, I stayed through some difficult years in the early 90s. Almost all my life's great joys & heartbreaks have happened here. But the push for us to become an elite world-class shinning-city on a hill is undercut by our failure to provide basic city services to our people
