This holiday was three years in the making. I watched the Super Bowl with Cowboy John @TrumpNV in 2023. We were both lifelong Chiefs fans, raised in the Midwest. The LED lights in the tunnel entry disoriented him, I had to lead him through walking backward and telling him to just look at my eyes. We took the service route on the way out. In 2024, on a hunch I went looking for him and was correct in guessing how I would find him... deceased. It was additionally emotional because I was pregnant -- life and death colliding in real time-- So, this 2025 is my first Super Bowl with my new watch buddy, a cute fat baby who I also have to carry everywhere. The first thing I ever bought the baby was some Chiefs onesies; I was all in. Football isn't just about getting the pigskin down the field. It's about the people we share it with.
