Ms Auger’s K class are learning more about worms and vermicomposting. They’re very excited to learn new and interesting facts. They’ve grown so much this year by asking good questions and are developing their inquiry skills. @BritanniaPS @PDSB_Libraries

Mrs. Lewis’s gr3s worked in groups to plan and design structures to hold a cup of coins. They explored and tested different ways to make their structure stronger and stable. How might we use this information to revise our plan? What materials might we use? #SchoolLibraryJoy

Ms. Auger’s Ks wanted to learn about hermit crabs. We explored PebbleGo and found out that, as they grow, they move to new shells. This led to more questions. One students wondered if turtles do the same thing. Great questions coming from our youngest students. #SchoolLibraryJoy

At the end of our coding each sessions, we reflected on what went well, what was difficult, and what we enjoyed most. The best was a gr2 shared “I liked when we failed over and over again and then we finally figured it out together.” #BetterTogether #SchoolLibraryJoy @peel21st

The coding fun continues. Love how well the students work together, support each other, and celebrate each other’s learning. My favourite moment today was hearing one student say excitedly,“You did it E!” followed but cheering. @peel21st @PDSB_Libraries #SchoolLibraryJoy

K and 1/2 classes worked collaboratively and with the support of a grade 4/5 leader to plan and debug code. We started off unplugged to better understand using direction words and coding blocks to move on a grid. Then we used Botley to see our learning take action @peel21st

Today, one of our gr5s shared how he added slates and text to his “Museum of Me”. He even fielded questions from classmates who saw features in his build that they wanted to learn more about. Love accessing the expertise in the room to help move others’ learning further @peel21st
