This is an ultra rare b-roll segment filmed for Six Flags New Orleans in 2005. Just a few months before Hurricane Katrina struck and closed the park forever.
Nearly a decade ago I made a video about Nick Studios in Florida and how in 2005, it closed for good and sat abandoned for years. I think after all of this time, that (not very well produced) video of mine deserves another look. A new ep of Abandoned is out this Fiday at 5pm EST!
Well, it was about time an urban explorer got bitten by a tick and contracted something…
Welcome to the gender reveal, it’s a Lyme!!
I have Lyme disease.
I’ve seen a lot of people defend this $200 billion company by saying stuff like “well it’s crowded, therefore it is not too expensive.” I think that’s such a backwards viewpoint. It is objectively expensive and Disney is in the position to reduce crowds. They just don’t.
Adam The Woo just uploaded a new video inside the abandoned resort next to Disney. It's not looking great... Among a lot of other damage, there is a massive hole in the roof of the lobby. It's hard to belive these photos are from a year apart.
WE DID IT!!! 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS! This is one of the coolest achievements ever. It's something I have been working to for almost 10 years. THANK YOU ALL!
This is our new logo! After months of finding the right balance between retro and modern, we came to this awesome new branding. Everything on BSF is getting a new coat of paint starting with this, designed by the extremely talented Steven Kane.
ITS HERE! My feature documentary, Closed For Storm is now available on all video on demand platforms! Thank you for everyone’s patience and support through production. It’s been the time of my life making this and I am so proud of what we’ve made. Thank you!!
Today marks an incredible 10 years on Youtube. It's been an unbelievable journey & one I am incredibly thankful I have taken. Coincidentally, I've also reached 1.2 million subs today so THANK YOU so much for watching and following me. It means more than anyone will ever know.
Carnival and Royal Caribbean vessels have been sold for scrap and are currently being broken apart in a desperate attempt for cash. These ships were sailing with passengers just 7 months ago. Some, like the Carnival Fantasy went in for dry dock literally a year ago.
An anonymous viewer who watched my new Cancelled video on the never built WDW hotels sent this in! A master plan of Disneys Boardwalk from 1993. Its a beautiful site plan & matches closly to what was built. However curiously at the bottom left, a monorail line is depicted... Huh!
I made my first visit to a Disney park in over 4 years! I of course made it into a BST video that will come out in Feb. I actually filmed 3 different video reviews, all coming soon!
Abandoned is coming back this Friday at 5pm EST. This episode I take a deep dive into Disney's River Country, the infamous abandoned water park. This video will be the most detailed and comprehensive history of the park ever made on any platform. I am so excited for this one!
In Florida filming an abandoned place no one has ever covered before. Completely untouched, no graffiti and a cool story! Though it was brutal. 5 hours of filming in literally 104 degrees
MY FEATURE LENGHT DOCUMENTARY IS APPROVED AND HAPPENING!!! Finally, after over a year of planning and filing permits, my dream project is officially approved! The city has granted us full access to the subject of the doc and you would not believe how relieved excited I am!!
I have made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgment and I don’t expect to be forgiven. In my latest video, I called Lake Shore Drive, “Lake Shore Road”. I’ve seen hundreds of people calling me out for this and I have decided to delete my channel. It won’t be happening again.
Whats so annoying about Disney is that between the parks & other divisions, they make such stupid decisions that harm the brand which everyone can see coming from a mile away. Its infuriating that they finally clue into it once they lose billions of dollars & erode consumer trust
Bob Iger says “I don’t want to apologize for making sequels.”
“We have made too many. That doesn’t mean we’re not going to continue to make them… We only greenlight a sequel if we think the story is worth telling.”

Remember back in 2018 when Cartoon Network announced their own cruise ship that was slated to set sail later that year? Yeah, well the ship they were going to renovate has now been scrapped so it's safe to say that concept isn't happening anymore...
I am so excited to announce that the official trailer for my feature documentary, Closed For Storm will be coming out this Friday at 5pm EST! Lots of details on the film will be coming this week as well!!
This is the former entertainment complex for a now abandoned casino resort. It being completely untouched and abandoned for over 20 years. I'm so excited to share this video, it being the first video documentation online. I'm releasing it in April on my birthday!
Hard Rock Park was quite possibly the most ill timed theme park property ever built. $400 Million was spent to build this and only last for 2 years. This Friday (5pm EST), I'm taking a look at the unbelievable story of Hard Rock Park / Freestyle Music Park!
Alright I said I would give this stuff away a while ago. I’m back for round two, so who wants this old Disney stuff? Giving it out to someone who really wants it for free!
It's been gone since 2005 and infamously sat abandoned for quite while afterwords. Join me for another (much better quality) look into Nickelodeon Studios Florida!
Very excited about tomorrow’s episode of Bankrupt. Not only is it a very recent bankruptcy, but it’s a brand that didn’t have to die. I also got an opportunity to interview a former executive and the whole story is just so sad. Tomorrow at 5pm EST!
It's been over 25 years since they disappeared from the American retail landscape. But, when Caldor was thriving back in the 60s-80's, the brand was beloved by so many living in the North East. Join me this Friday at 5pm EST for a new episode of Abandoned!
I just want to say thank you all so much for sticking with me and the channel through this content drought. Views have still been up and it’s an enormous vote of confidence since I was so afraid of what would happen. You’ve all allowed me to follow my dream with this!
Thanks to a comment on my new Abandoned - River Country video, I learned how to remove the stupid 'Photobucket' watermark on past forum photos. So here are some of the ultra rare photos of River Country in the early days of its abandonment in 2004.
I returned to the abandoned resort near Disney which I did a video on back in 2022. It was honestly shocking to see how far it has fallen. The property is being ransacked by scrappers & most buildings are a complete death trap mess. Unrecognizable how it looked 11 years ago.
Anyone in the mood for decades long financial mismanagement, stupidity & abandoned retail? This week I'll be looking into the story of the infamous American Dream Mall, formally Xanadu. Don't miss this fascinating (& frustrating) new episode of Abandoned, this Friday at 5pm EST!!
Epcot’s Wonders of Life cost Disney almost $200,000,000 to build (adjusted for inflation) yet only lasted full time for around 13 years. Then sat partially abandoned for another 14. Seems like such a waste.
I haven’t been to a Disney World park since 2019. Over the pandemic, my annual pass expired & surprisingly, I’ve had no desire to go back. I’ve even turned down free comp tickets from CM friends. I guess I’m just so disillusioned from the parks. Like, I don’t miss them at all.
I am extremely excited for tomorrow's new video! Got a rare chance to document a quickly decaying shopping mall, just 2 years after it closed. Yes, this closed in 2020... 5pm EST!
The Facebook page for the mall was quite the hilarious read. Someone rightfully complained about literal mold growing on the theatre seats, which the owner claimed was from a fire extinguisher. However when we visited, every theatre was caked in this disgusting layer of mold...
Well this is it. They owe over a hundred million dollars to exit this bankruptcy and believe it or not, I don’t think they’re paying it back. Chapter 7 is coming soon.
This footage originated from water damaged DVD we found amongst the sea of destruction in the back of house facilities. We brought it home, only barely got it working and recovered the footage, which we ended up using bits in the final documentary.
WE DID IT!! 500,000 subscribers!!! I’ll save the blanket statements and cliché praise for later. All you need to know is that I am beyond thankful for everyones support since the beginning. I never intended to get here and I can’t believe I am. Thank you. Everyone.
This is so disappointing. Grand Floridian is as luxurious as it is because of this band. These men have been loyal and working there for decades. Disney eliminated their stage and forced them compromise. They have been neglecting them ever since.
This week’s video is a Cancelled episode on the (obviously) never finished Hard Rock Hotel in New Orleans. After the collapse, the disaster was a massive source of controversy and just recently, it was announced no one would be charged. Don’t miss it, this Friday at 5pm EST.
Today marks my 7th anniversary on Youtube. It is literally unfathomable how much my life has changed since (obviously) and how BrightSunFilms has grown to something I truly never thought it would become. Genuinely thank you to all who have been subscribed and watching!
This Friday at 5pm EST, I take a deeper look into an iconic part of racing history, one that was left behind by the larger organizations. A brand new episode of Abandoned comes out this Friday!!
After closing over 2,000 stores across America, Kmart might just be the largest collection of sad, abandoned big box stores ever. While store are still (sort of) open for business, the majority are long gone. Join me this Friday at 5pm EST for a very special episode of Abandoned!
It's been requested for a long time! I am diving deep into the once iconic & largest discount retail brand in Canada. One that was bought out by Target & turned into one of the worlds largest retail mistakes. Dont miss this fascinating episode of Abandoned this Friday at 5pm EST!
This week I'm taking a look at quite possibly the most bizarre structure dominating the skyline of an American city. A building so strange that it failed after just a few years of opening with a vision never fully realized. A new episode of Abandoned is out Friday at 5pm EST!
Wanna see me actually flip out? I was filming an interview I had set up for nearly a month now and half way through filming, my entire building temporary lost power. Everything recorded was lost.
This coming Friday, get ready for Abandoned episode 50!! A spectacular culmination of everything I have been working on with this show. I'm taking a look at one time the mega retail brand, SEARS. Don't miss the longest episode to date, just after the holidays! Friday @ 5pm EST.
This is an abandoned Ritz Carlton Hotel. An almost unbelievable sight for such a prestigious brand and a location not many people know about. A thread -
Well, im trying something new and sailing on the new Valiant Lady from Virgin Voyages. Of course filming a review video for Bright Sun Travels. Let’s see what it’s like!
This week's video is something very special. A story never told on Youtube and a place so unbelivable, you'll be asking "how on earth is this abandoned??" Well, i'm going to tell you. This Friday at 5pm EST!
