@Austen @PoliPat1 Texas alone contributes 275B in taxes annually. The fact that in sum, half the state of Texas’s revenue disappears is sad. In totality I think the govt collects 5T

You’re raising a great point on power and how it’s wielded, and I concede to you that I’m not wise enough yet to give you a fair answer. My only counter would be that there are many laws that legalize bad things, but the crisis in poor power wielding is an underlying moral issue and I think the US culturally does have a crisis in morality, has had this for many decades too.

Sorry officer, I saw a chance to make you laugh. No, I don’t support it when George Soros does it. I do support it when Elon Musk does it. It’s because the underlying actions being taken by both are different, and I like one but not the other. Also, if you support the inverse, that is up to you too. Next election, or in two years, make sure Republicans lose their seats.
