Today, the winners of the @Waterstones Book Report Challenge went on their reward trip to @WaterstonesPicc. Each student bought at least one book and had tons of fun talking books with their fellow readers!

Our Hackney Reading Champions in Years 7-9 presented over the past few days on the results of their school-wide survey! They also shared what books they are buying for the library with the accompanying Book Tokens they secured with their hard work👏

Author of Loverboy, Ben Tomlinson, visited Bridge Academy to speak to students in Years 9 and 10. He spoke about taking a book from idea to publication, and the students got involved with questions, their own creative writing publication pitches, and book cover design debates!

We are delighted to announce that we have recently received the prestigious 'Investor in Careers' award, reflecting and recognising the quality and excellence delivered through our Progression Programme.

The library at Bridge is always at the heart of learning, and it's fair to say it's more than just a place where books reside—we offer a dynamic and multifunctional space for reading, studying, and digital exploration.

Our library update has landed! Our theme for January is 'New Frontiers,' which emphasises new scientific discoveries in articles and books!

This week, all year groups have been participating in our termly Sports Week, engaging in competitive sport to win House points. Great displays of teamwork, communication and leadership shown.

Year 11 have concluded their PPE season with a mock results day event. Students entered the hall to receive their envelopes in true results day style. Well done Year 11 for the hard work and resilience you have shown during this exam period.

Today, we held our Book Swap in Central Square. There was an amazing buzz and palpable sense of excitement as students and staff received their free books. Staff and students also had the opportunity to donate books to the library.

The latest edition of the Academy Magazine, packed with all the latest news and events, is now available online. Students will be bringing home printed copies today.
