officials say 4,696 freshmen students began classes today in Columbia. MU says it's an increase of 13.1 percent over 2017 and is the largest increase in ten years. The school has also announced an 87.3 percent retention rate, the highest in Mizzou history.

UPDATE: A Georgia-based company has announced they plan to renovate and re-open the hospital in southeast Missouri's Kennett, a hospital that's been closed since 2018. Our Kennett affiliate KBOA reports Main Street HealthVentures made the announcement at a news conference today.
