I genuinely think the Pendolino is the uk’s best modern train. I know it’s a 20yr design now but the ride, environment at speed is unmatched by the Azuma. Virgin and their team did a great job in selecting them.
As much as I loved 90/87 mk3 these really are a class above

Here’s the problem. You’re 19 and think you know everything, British rail as an entity was successful. It balanced the intercity trains with cross subsiding the local trains. Over the years the government picked off the profitable bits.

No some have the option to do overtime on Sunday or not. Don’t try and pretend it’s their duty. Their contracts don’t require them to work on Sundays. You want that changing you need to pay them better and persuade them to make ot part of their working week
