@KeithGave Trottier underrated? IDK, he was hero-level when I was playing PeeWee and Bantam in the early to mid 80s. His team won 4 Cups in a row! Most of the recent “top X players of all time” suffer from recency bias, if anything. Trottier might be a victim of that.

@spittinchiclets Shanny & Bret exchanged glances during play. Hank’s compete level was sky high. He could SKATE. He scored. Played HARD both ways. I was 20 ft from Bowman & Holland. Scotty thoughtfully watched always, but he was RIVETED by Hank. Told my wife: That kid will be an NHL star! 2 of 2

I hope people realize just how special what you're seeing with the Red Wings is. This team went from the purgatory of dead-in-the-water mediocrity to one that now has no defined ceiling. Think about that. They hadn't won all four games on a road trip this century. #LGRW

@Buccigross Not saying but asking: are NHL players allowed to “finish their checks” after the pass is gone? When I played and ref’ed, that is a clean hit in USA Hockey and the NHL. Now it is not per USA Hockey rules, not sure about NHL rules.

@GinoHard_ The arm placement across the back of his neck... He really could have broken his neck. Do not care what happened earlier, if needed, challenge him to a fight like a man. This is a cowardly play that could have caused serious, permanent injury. NHL will fumble this, of course.

@spittinchiclets Have to believe Stone did not do that intentionally… he was tripped / interfered by Hintz at a critical moment right before he engaged w Miro. “I’m gonna hurt this guy by diving face-first into his knee” - no hockey player, ever. Neither a Stars nor Knights fan, btw.
