Stop telling people they need organic, grass fed, pastured, & wild caught meats & 🥚 Most can't afford 💴 it & it's unnecessary & not mandatory for health improvement & weight loss, most we’re eating & drinking soda,chips candy & grains. Standard 🥩 🍳 🎣 🍗 🥗 is an upgrade!

2005 I joined a gym. Worked out 3x week religiously for 4 years. Ate less & moved more. Got stronger but didn't lose a pound & blood work didn't improve. 2009 went #lowcarb & got even stronger, lost 100# & improved blood work. It wasn't my workout, it was the fucking food.

Me & My Wife started low carb at the same time in 2009 & haven't looked back. By 2010 she lost 60+ & I lost 100. We've both maintained doing different styles, but still low carb. This pic was in 2000 on our wedding day, not even our heaviest but healthier 21 years later.

Nobody blinked an eye when I would eat a bowl of cereal this size. Now eating an equal bowl of taco meat starts a whole conversation about my health. We have a long way to go when people think a bowl of cereal is better for your health than a bowl of beef.

Mom is 83 and t2 diabetic, got access to her Dexcom, this was the result after eating a single serve bag of Peaches & Cream Oatmeal. Unfortunately, professionals caring for our loved ones tell them this is normal and it’s ok to eat shit like this all day.

Yes, I stopped eating processed sugars, grains, and all the other shit that had me overweight & sick. Yes, I replaced them with more beef, chicken, pork, fish, eggs, seafood & greek yogurt. No, I am NOT on a diet.

How come when I purposefully attempted to create a calorie deficit I was always hungry, grumpy, never lost & failed miserably several times. Then I do low carb once and am told I "accidentally" created a calorie deficit so well that I lost 100lbs & sustained it over 11 years?

I really made a lot of people mad when I went low carb and improved my health. The shit really hit the fan when I stopped drinking alcohol every weekend. Sometimes the company you keep is the most toxic thing in your life but its the hardest to see.

When I was 260lbs & unhealthy in every way, "friends" would not blink an eye as I would eat a whole pizzas, drink beers, and eat dessert after every meal. After 100lb loss, healthy as I've ever been they were are all of a sudden concerned about my health? 🤦‍♂️

True story: Ate a dozen doughnuts after a weekend hangover, friends laughed & it was no big deal even though I was obese. Order a steak dinner with an extra steak & the same people worried about my health, though eating that way had me 100 pounds lighter 🤷‍♂️ Normal isn't normal

Short version of every CICO discussion👇 Me: I did CICO, didn't work, wasn't sustainable. Ate more calories on Low Carb, 100lb loss, sustained 10 years. Them: You overestimated on CICO, then underestimated on LC. You accidentally created a calorie deficit and lost 100 lbs. 🤦🏻‍♂️

True Story about "Just a little bit won't hurt" My best friend started shortly after me in 2009, he also lost 100 pounds, and allowed himself a day of eating cake and junk for his daughter's birthday weekend That weekend spiraled into a 100-pound re-gain over the next year.

Some of the biggest problems we face in the obesity epidemic is... Only a small percentage of what's sold in grocery stores is actually real food... School lunches are highly processed trash... Fast food is a 239 billion $ industry... We have to do better.

Anyone else? When I was at my heaviest & went to a restaurant, the waiter never said a word if I ordered an appetizer, entree & dessert 🍰 for myself. Now just order double 🥩 & they nearly always make a point to tell me how large the serving is & if I'm sure I want that much.
