Ja is pretty easily the least impactful defender of any of the main MVP candidates.
I prefer my MVP candidates who impact the defensive end of the floor too. Defense is a skill too. Thanks @JaMorant

@S_Reed1999 I actually mostly like Jayson, it's just annoying to see every athlete position themselves as the underdog. They won 64 games.

Bron's lack of ability to judge talent is progressing past "funny weakness" and into "tragic Greek flaw".
LeBron James would be very enthused by the prospect of Mark Jackson landing the Lakers head coaching job, sources tell @sam_amick. Jackson, an NBA analyst on ESPN, coached the Warriors from 2011-2014. More:

fascinating window into the minds of professional/journalist class weirdos, who seem to earnestly think that you can just become an NBA level basketball player by getting "some training," like an electrician.
this is the meanest thing anyone has ever said about steve kerr and i'm including the time arizona state fans taunted him about his dad's murder

@KyleMalang84940 @S_Reed1999 maybe he shouldn't have shot like 4-26 in all those important games then.

He would have been #1 for me in every draft I've covered save maybe 2018 and maybe 2025.
Amen Thompson is averaging 17 PPG-11 RPG-4 STKs on 63 TS% as a starter but look at some of these passes man

Nobody has ever deserved to get overpaid by an NBA team more than Luol.
Royal Ivey: “Luol Deng has been funding this thing for four years out of his own pocket. He pays for gyms, hotels, plane tickets—everything. Kudos to Luol and the staff. We wouldn't have been able to put this team together without them.”.

idk, I feel like if you are a person whose job it is to write about the NBA, there should be something you can find in team that made the Finals that is compelling.
Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix talks the Denver Nuggets media gripe. "they're just not a compelling team to talk about - to write about". Worth noting that @SIChrisMannix and his cohort are compelled by attention. And financial return. They peddle NBA sugar, not basketball.

At what point does somebody on the medical staff get sued.
Lonzo Ball is still not able to run or cut, per @KCJHoop. “The expectation is that the team will come out after the All-Star break saying that they are shutting Lonzo down for the season” . (h/t @ChiSportUpdates )

He almost killed Luol Deng with a botched spinal tap in 2013, tried to get Omer Asik to play on a literal broken leg in the 2011 playoffs and told Joakim Noah that playing with plantar fasciitis couldn't make things any worse in 2014 and 2015. All three permanently injured.
@BrianJNBA Who are the other three players?.

The Celtics won the 2017 lottery what are we doing here.
Way before social media became a sports frenzy place with scouts. In 2017 pre-draft I was pushing for the Celtics to move up in the draft to pick Jayson Tatum with the number 1 pick. My 2022 draft guide provides 80+ pages of similar type info for this year

The prospect interviews he does are probably the single best publicly available draft content and I will miss them.
ESPN’s NBA Draft Analyst Mike Schmitz is finalizing a deal to become an assistant GM with the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN. Schmitz will play a significant role with new GM Joe Cronin in leading the Blazers’ domestic and international scouting departments.
