The traditional search of the cellars of the Palace of Westminster is conducted ahead of the State opening of Parliament
It's the first time that a woman has been nominated to lead the ceremonial search
In Israel children as young as 12 get sentenced to 20 years in prison for throwing stones at the IDF, while members of the IDF get off scot free for murdering children. That’s what apartheid looks like.
Jeremy Corbyn lives in one of the houses on the left, Tony Blair lives in the one on the right, which is just one of the 39 homes and flats that make up his £35 million property portfolio.
I’ve experienced Labour defeats at a GE before. But none has taken the winds out of my sails like this one. I still can’t bring my self to watch or listen to the news. I’m deeply ashamed by the way Jeremy Corbyn has been treated. It really hurts deep down inside.
Stormzy gets attacked for saying the UK is racist. Meanwhile Spurs v Chelsea match is twice stopped due to racist chants from the crowd. What a fucking country.
Can BBC news please stop referring to the ‘failures of the NHS test and trace system’? It’s the Serco Test and Trace System, and any failure sits squarely on Dido Harding’s shoulders.
Last week Mick Lynch was bossing the UK media, and his performances dominated my Twitter trending list. This week he’s disappeared. They couldn’t handle him, could they?
Things Tories have said this week:
Jeremy Hunt says he’s sorry he cut spending on the NHS
Ian Duncan Smith says benefits should be higher.
Priti Patel says she’s sorry for the treatment of the Windrush Generation and the hostile environment’.
And it’s only Thursday.

Not a day goes by when I don’t wish Jeremy Corbyn had won GE2019. And nor does one pass when I don’t despise those Labour MPs who worked to sabotage his chances.
Had I been there I’d have joined them. Prince Charles has just delivered a Queen Speech that amounts to a Tory attack on the poor. They weren’t just booing the monarchy they were booing what they stand for.
The BDS movement was set up by Palestinians to protest against the Israeli oppression of Palestinians.
Here is Angela Rayner, the deputy Labour leader, accusing Palestinians and people who support their fight for freedom of targeting the only Jewish state.
So let me get this right. Israel makes unfounded allegations against UNRW and the US, UK at others withdraw humanitarian funding. Israel commits a barbaric genocide against Gaza and it continues to receive $ billions in military aid from the same countries?
I do wish UK journalists would stop talking about the ‘war’ in Gaza. It’s not a war. Israel has the most powerful military in the region. Palestinians don’t even have any tanks, let alone F35s.
Am I wrong in thinking that the Labour MPs who are currently attacking Jeremy Corbyn for supporting an early GE, are the same MPs who would be attacking him if he didn’t?
Dilemma. I still haven’t been able to watch a BBC, ITV, or C4 news or current affairs program since the election. Is it time for me to overcome my aversion, or should I stick with my embargo?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t we told that only privatising the water industry would deliver the investment needed to modernise the infrastructure?
🚨Foreign Office minister Andrew Mitchell says the International Criminal Court (ICC) does not have jurisdiction in Israel, and argues that today's arrest applications are unhelpful.

I’m old enough to remember being told that privatising public utilities like water, energy, and transport would leader to cheaper and better services that would deliver real value to the public.
BREAKING: Puma has announced it is dropping its sponsorship of the Israel Football Association, including the national soccer team.
Puma has long been a target of a Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign for sponsoring teams in illegal settlements.
Too little too late, mate. We will never forgive or forget your craven behaviour on this and it will follow you for the rest of your political career.
@DavidLammy
Just think, you can defend this guy, who was twice forced to resign from government for his dodgy dealings, but you can expel from the Party Ken Loach who makes films about the condition of the working class.
Just think, in 2024 the UK will have to choose between Sunak and Starmer, and the USA between Biden and Trump. If that doesn’t leave you feeling depressed I’d like to know the name of your medication.
Gove, hang your head in shame. Corbyn has never uttered an antisemetic word in his life. And, Emily, you should also be ashamed for agreeing with him.

Would I be correct in thinking that the celebrities who are expressing their support for a comedian who makes a racist joke, are the same people who traduced Jeremy Corbyn who never had?
Personally I think Dominic Cummings has said enough and we should all move on. He made reasonable judgements in terrible circumstances and was clearly trying to do the right thing. Let’s focus on getting the country back on its feet.
When Grant Shapps says that if the railways are to flourish it ‘must banish the outdated working practices that are holding it back’, he means practices like lunch breaks, sick pay, and health and safety regulations, doesn’t he?
Dump the Guardian!
It’s quite shocking when the anti-Corbyn drones are pulled together in this way. It reminds me why I stopped buying it after 30 years.
I’m a Republican and long for the day we abolish the monarchy, but it really is shocking the hate being spewed at the Duchess of Sussex. It’s out and out racism.
"I must say that I do have very serious concerns"
Shadow foreign secretary David Lammy calls for legal advice to be published so "we are clear" on whether Israel has "contravened international humanitarian law" in Gaza

Every time I see Neil Coyle, Margaret Hodge, or Wes Streeting on the TV I ask myself the same question: how on earth did these people become Labour MPs?
Actress Maureen Lipman has told Sky News that the UK is 'part of the global rise in anti-semitism', adding that 'nowhere is a safe place to be Jewish at the moment'.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m still struggling with the idea that Wes Streeting can openly say on national TV that he didn’t campaign for the leader of the Labour Party in a GE can still be a member of the Starmer’s front bench.
Corbynism’s greatest liability is now Jeremy Corbyn himself
The Guardian goes into full ‘get Corbyn’ mode. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had it up to the gills with comfortable, middle-class hacks undermine the chances of a Labour government.
I can no longer bear to follow the news about Gaza. It’s making me depressed. I’m sickened by the hypocrisy of our politicians and the shameful reporting by our media.

So Luciana Berger, who stood for the Lib Dems in the 2019 GE , is welcomed back into the party but Jeremy Corbyn isn’t? Tells you all you need to know about Starmer.
I’m proud to welcome
@LucianaBerger
back to lead a Mental Health Strategy Review.
It will be the mission of my Labour government to make sure fewer lives are lost to suicide.
Luciana is a fierce advocate for mental health and her work will contribute to achieving that mission.
Would I be correct in thinking that the people jumping onto my timeline to accuse me of being a ‘Tory enabler’ for criticising Starmer are the same people who banged the ‘Anyone but Corbyn’ drum??
Hats off to the Allotment Guy. It’s two years years since he stood down as leader of the Labour Party, and yet a day rarely goes by when Jeremy Corbyn isn’t trending on Twitter.
