They don’t look good on paper either. Massive needs at EDGE, CB2, nickel, LB needs an infusion of speed DT depth needs major upgrade even with Barmore DE needs depth and we don’t really have a true cover FS Pass rush should help is must. This paper needs a lot imo.
It'll be interesting to see how Mike Vrabel addresses the #Patriots defense On paper, their starting lineup only needs another outside corner (assuming Keion White is used as a top DE/DI hybrid) But in reality, there are major health and/or depth concerns at every level, and some players may not fit Vrabel's vision

It’s why you have to prioritize a skill position and OL in the draft. Even if you get Carter, you still have to plan to build it around Drake.
.@RapSheet says #Patriots QB Drake Maye has a bit of a “mythical reputation” around the NFL. “Drake Maye in the NFL has a little bit of like a mythical reputation. He was the guy everybody wanted in the draft. It was Caleb [Williams], Jayden Daniels, and everybody wanted Drake Maye. Everyone tried to trade up for him… I thought and we kinda being told that [the Patriots] were considering trade options. And then you look back on it and I don’t get the sense that they considered basically anything. I mean, they considered it, but not actually. I don’t think they were about to do anything… And then he went out and played with a not good team, without great talent, with an offensive line that should be talent — and really looked not very good, receivers that were not very good… and he looked good… [There were] a lot of reasons this [head-coaching] job was desirable. Drake Maye is the top of the list.” New England genuinely has a star in the building and it is up to the front office to make the most of it. (🎥 The Next Pats Podcast | @NBCSPatriots)
