If athletics are allowed to start on time but with the mandate of no fans in the stands there shouldn’t be one complaint from a parent out there. This is about the kids having their chance to play and if that means no fans gets it done then so be it.

So golf courses have been the one athletic bastion of freedom during COVID but now it’s not safe for high school kids to have a golf season? MAYB tourneys were able to be held in our gyms but football can’t be played outside? Bars stay open; schools shut down. SMDH

As far as sports go, almost every school district in the state has allowed summer workouts/conditioning to occur at their schools. Even if the start of in-person schooling is pushed back, there's no reason to curtail extracurricular activities that have already been occurring. ..

Looking for the logic: Football can seed teams 1-16 in east & west (654A), no worries about travel or keeping teams regional for COVID reasons. Soccer & volleyball, (traditionally treated same way)? Nope, have to keep them regional & create some disturbingly imbalanced brackets.
