@m_e_t_a_x_y As for low information voters intuiting aspects of reality better than those caught in group think (even if they're wrong about solutions), yes, I'd agree. I discuss this a bit with Layman Pascal here:

@m_e_t_a_x_y More to the the point, though, there's a difference between being informed and parroting the positions of intellectuals and elites. You have to separate the memetic content from the developmental level from which it emerges.

@m_e_t_a_x_y As for "traits," I'm not sure exactly how to parse that. Like, they are mean and nasty? Those are different from being informed, obviously. Character vs. knowledge.

@m_e_t_a_x_y I hear you. But I'd need you to unpack: "Some of the best informed and most intelligent voices on this platform show traits and advocate for positions that are 'ignorant' and 'retrogressive'." If one is informed one isn't ignorant by definition. Retreogressive is another matter.

After the re-election of Donald Trump to the Presidency of the United States last night, I check in with Layman Pascal to get his take on the political landscape. What can we learn from what's going on? How can we be more open and less blaming?

@ReidGower Yes, precisely. Persons are inherently transpersonal. The ego is constructed through a collective information processing system, language. As a cultural being, my meaning and values are interdependent with yours.
