Mahoutsukai Precure 2 really had the patience to have a whole episode without a fight scene. This, even more than the fact that the characters are literally grown up, is the clearest sign that this show is made for adults now.

Albert Camus' Caligula was great. I love the tragedy that Caligula was denied his own dream for freedom and it has only made the visual novel Meikei no Lupercalia better by comparison. I want to get a copy of The Plague now.

Goodbye, Wonderful Precure. In choosing non-violence, this series created one of the kindest stories in the franchise. I easily say it's within the top three seasons of Precure and is something I'll remember warmly.

Mahoutsukai Precure 2 is a gift from the heavens and the keeper of my heart for the next 3 months.

Mirai and Liko literally lean in like they're going to kiss in their transformation animation, you can't do this to me precure.

I can now double down on my prior statement. Wonderful Precure is definitely the anime of the year. While its Cures endure far less physical pain through combat than prior series, they instead brave a depth of emotional pain. It is a story that uses grief to become kind.
