Coming off a strong spring with @UtahTech_BASE, Hunter Katschke (@hkatschke10) has taken another step with the @RRaptorsBB this summer, transforming himself into one of @WCLBaseball's top hitters. Katschke notched a .940 OPS and 13 home runs with the Trailblazers this spring. The outfielder went into the summer looking to further refine his offensive approach – and he's done so in a big way. Across 175 plate appearances, Katschke has reduced his chase and whiff rates by 5.9% and 11.6%, respectively. These improvements have paid dividends, as he's lowered his strikeout rate to 11.4% while still maintaining his power. Katschke leads the West Coast League in home runs (9), OPS (1.083) and runs created (41.78). He's also second in batting average (.367).
