Allen "Aren" Kuri still doing his thing.... Deep Arsenal!! Arsenal with Signs: 4s -1 2s - 1 Wiggle CUT - Pistol (Maybe) SL - German 3 Sweeper - 3 CB - 4 wiggle (Maybe) Splitter - Thumb or 2 Split-Change - 5 Only two signs I am iffy on are CUT and CB. He also has a Slow Curve ๐

It's not fair that Shohei can strike you out with a 90 mph slider that breaks 2 inches, an 87 mph sweeper that breaks 16 inches, or an 83 mph curveball that breaks 10 inches

Fighters cooking again.... I like Kota Tatsu's deep pitch mix. @yakyucosmo Throws a Death Ball, Splitter is intriguing since he rips down on the outside seam, gets some different types of movement on the pitch, very platoon-neutral to me! Split grip shown.

This is not high leverage, but B2 in 8/7 start @ Nippon-Ham, sitting more than 93 to start the game. Against Franmil Reyes, 97 just off the edge. Followed by a SL down the same tunnel, swing, and a miss. 97.5 right by him to end the at-bat! Super impressive stuff! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ

If you stack starts on top of starts, Imai throws with so much ease! Looks like a shortstop just tossing with a catch play partner at times. Picking his spots when to step on the gas. The command has gotten a lot better, and he's a smaller-stature guy, but can run up the velo!
NPB โGas Pedalingโ Leaders โฝ๏ธ (biggest increase in average fastball velocity in high leverage situations) 1. Tatsuya Imai +1.4 mph 2. Hideaki Wakui +1.3 mph 3. Ruei Yang Gu Lin +1.0 mph 4. Daichi Ishii +0.9 mph 5. Hiroki Tokoda +0.8 mph

Is it too late to hop on the Early train? Connelly delivers another spectacular performance in the second start of his career striking out 7 in 5.1 innings.

@ClutchGardy So I trust both and they are excellent stats. They're also not trying to do the same thing. The more I dig, the more I understand why we're urged to use these numbers as estimates, as well as the bigger value numbers they go into. I generally trust any high number for either

Trey Yesavage made his MLB debut! Yesavage joined the electric group of rookie pitchers making their debut lately with an outstanding start. He fired 5.0 IP with 9 K while allowing just 1 ER. His unorthodox high release point befuddled Rays batters and splitter was nasty!
