What an honour and what a night! BrainTrust Canada was honoured to receive the award for Exellence in Community Impact, thanks to the great people of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. This award belongs to those living with the effects of Brain Injury- our heroes! 🧠❤️

It was a shocking moment for many Kelowna residents when the Lake Okanagan Resort was destroyed this summer. During this time, BrainTrust stepped into crisis response to help those in need. Read the full story here: Thank you to United Way!

Neuroplasticity refers to the capacity for neurons (brain cells) to change and adapt in response to our behaviour. Neuro (brain) + Plastic (bendable, flexible, adaptable)

November is Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM). The Indigenous population of Canada experience a disability rate much higher than that of the general population, at approximately 30% to 35% (around 1 in 3 people).

October 30th has been proclaimed BC Non-Profit Day, an occasion to celebrate the non-profit sector and create a deeper understanding of the people and communities that are supported. This day also serves to recognize the dedication of staff and volunteers.
