@Anja_InnatOss Along the lines of our initial thinking for sure, but there’s many other environmental factors in air quality that also should be considered as well! Interesting to see whether it’s oxygen content or air quality that’s important here!

@themupsmuppet Exactly why we are curious about this counterintuitive situation! But still lots to uncover here

@themupsmuppet The patient was saying they had felt better at altitude and was able to do some somewhat regular exercise, but I’d never heard it before then! Now curious how many people experience this!

As we come to the end of these measurements, it’s been both a pleasure and an eye opening experience working with the ME patients, caretakers and family members. This is the reason we do our work. We are grateful for everyone that was involved, either directly or indirectly

My BFF & carer had his CPET to study PEM in ME. So amazing it all worked out & the team is so extremely motivated to study us #pwME & #LongCovid folks. I'm grateful for their work & the way things are moving. Tomorrow is the last muscle biopsy. Thanks @BraedenCharlton for today!

@RobWust @lux @NatureComms The other would be from Colosio 2023 (. Other papers mainly had either imaging data, protein data, or respiration but very rarely the combination in skeletal muscle.

@RichieGoulding1 The timing of this! Was just trying to figure out how to interpret some things and at surface level it looks like this answers some of those questions!

@inside_exercise With acute exercise, there’s an inflammatory response, typically associated with myokine release. But do adipokines and different types of adipose alter this response? If so how and how does this reflect in adaptations of fuel usage (ie shift from fatty acid ox to glycolysis)?

@MECFSNews Similar to a lot of other reports, no abnormal routine blood work in patients. But that was seen by physicians prior to study enrolment as well
