Your trap wasn’t designed to be a lat. Your hamstring wasn’t designed to be a glute. Your bicep wasn’t designed to be a forearm. Step #1 is usually just getting the body to do what it’s supposed to do.

So part of a coach/trainers job is to create that externally, but also to create the awareness of your own internal environment, the one you create for yourself. They can’t physically change that, only you can, but your awareness of that environment should grow

things are certainly beneficial in creating a LARGE group of data collection, when it comes down to n=1 application, they’re useless 70% of the time.

When your distal can’t handle what your proximal can produce, you’re generally going to run into problems. More simply: the hands and feet should be trained with equal importance as the hips and shoulders

Solid athlete example of upper body plyo shared earlier today. First time doing it, close to 2 foot drop. Don’t treat your athletes like breakable snowflakes.

In fact, it isn’t really about the “lifts”.. So if you’re going to deadlift or squat or whatever, it’s okay to, gasp, not always do it first. We’re training adaptability here, not specificity
