Schubert’s Du bist die Ruh with Andrew Staples accompanied by members of the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique. The songs have been specially arranged for these period instruments & will be interweaved with the movements of Schubert’s Octet tomorrow at @smitf_london

To be fair, the briefest clear view of a wind instrument we got was of a clarinet, and that looked about “right” for early-ish Mozart, with 5 keys. Shame the recorded orchestra in the Paris Symphony weren’t playing them. And Pavarotti et al in Idomeneo was a bit of a jolt!
