Today, @WyerJohn and @bwcontracts will be cycling 105km to raise money for @WestWheelsNW8 and others as part of the social strategy for 105VS. WW is a brilliant cause. Can you spare a few quid? #105VictoriaStreet #findalternative

@DebbieMonckton Glad to see it’s looking so lovely. We loved working on the garden. We’ve been lucky enough to be involved with many hospital gardens. Exposure to and interaction with the natural world is a vital part of wellbeing and recovery.

Spokane, Washington. Spokane's soft morning natural lights create a peaceful and serene environment, while the warm glow of the sunsets can evoke a romantic or contemplative mood. #Lighting #Grass #Bowleswyer #Landscape #Sunlight

Eaton Square, London. This a perfect example of how lighting can change the atmosphere and mood of a space. At Eaton Square, we can see how warm, soft lighting creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere, making it feel more inviting, comfortable, and even magical.

Chelsea Flower Show 2011. Water is always a prime candidate for lighting, whether it is moving or still. Planning Lighting in advance of construction can be tricky, but the beautiful streams that are illuminated make it worthwhile.

Outdoor landscape lighting can transform your space. You can see how the brightening of steps and seating areas, as well as the planting, can create a warm and beautiful oasis of light, inviting you to explore the space. #lighting #landscape #gardendesign #design #bowleswyer

This feature is shaped like a giant petri dish with overflowing infinity edges; it’s made from a single piece of acrylic and acts as a skylight for a spiral staircase in the basement below. 📷: @paulupward1 Designer: Andy Ewing

Wimbledon This water route creates a tranquil and still environment while defining the landscape with its formal, narrow, crisp, clean edges.

Another one of our favorite designs by Tom Hoblyn and built by us here at Bowles and Wyer. ‘The Call’ by sculptor Rick Kirby was installed into the water feature to give the impression of it floating on the water’s surface.

Memories of Cornwall Chelsea Flower Show 2011 Designer:Tom Hoblyn The inspiration for the water feature – one of the most memorable ever at Chelsea – came from looking at the patterns water makes flowing across a sandy beach. The garden was awarded a Silver Gilt medal🥈

Another pond - in John's garden. A naturally regulated water swimming pond, 15mx8m, with a 5m wide swimming tank 2.9m deep. The construction story is in our blog - search 'bigger splash'. We gather John swims in it all through the summer. A bit cold at the moment @WyerJohn?

Looking towards sunnier times... Over the next week or so, we're posting pictures of ponds and water features completed over the last few years. To start, here are a couple of shots of a wildlife pond we made in a Berkshire garden a few years ago. #Ponds #landscape #gardendesign

@LindaAspey @BALI_Awards @Flothegardener 3/3 …such as porcelain, or something like this. The push for this came from the client. Grass would not survive. It wasn’t an easy choice, but was the lowest carbon option. We’d be genuinely interested to know what you might have done in this situation. Award was for living wall
