@elpassportpapi1 I lived in multiple spots too and did a lot walking. why would you say its not walkable and would you say that it is less walkable than Asunción?

@graemelamperson yup, think the North American is much more used to these distances than the Europeans. i just mapped out what my daily walks were and it's def much shorter to walk around in Colombia
WALKABILITY in Latam🚶♂️ Some mutuals mentioned that they consider Asunción's 🇵🇾 walkability to be okay, so I ask: Have you ever been to a mid-sized city in Colombia? 🇨🇴 I traced the paths of a typical stay staying in a top neighborhood in Asunción vs Bucaramanga: - Orange: walk to nearby park - Purple: BJJ/Muay Thai - Red: Market - Green: Nightlife spot - Blue: Church - Pink: Gym You can SEE the walkability just by looking at the maps Asuncións streets are much more spread out, increasing walking distances Bucaramanga has much more yellow zones of mixed use (residential, commerce and dining all there) compared to Paraguay's much more residential streets with nothing going on

@graemelamperson It's not just the conditions, but the distances Notice how close i am to restaurants, churches, gym, drugstores, nightlife etc living in a top zone in a SMALLER Colombian city (El Prado, Bucaramanga), vs the distances in Asunción also in the top zone (Villa Morra)

@sunburnfirm Legally, they just restricted it to permanent residents now. so, only possible after two years of temporary residency

@jbensimonlfc cant directly comment as i was in a relationship in Asuncion, but from what i saw and people tell me, looks are not as good as BR/CO, but girls seem more genuine/“wifeable”

@ZephiraNET TIME being most important. I commuted to school 2:30h every day for years, and it’s so much time wasted! if possible, never again

@elpassportpapi1 @imidaily you need to keep your M visa active to convert it and for that you can’t be absent for over 180 days at time, so yes it is possible but you will have to be in Colombia at least 5-6 times
