did. They set such an incredibly high standard for live balance. No card game has come close to this.
To see all the hate and negativity today when we literally were promised nothing from this patch, was very sad.

Didn't expect to be radio silent so long but the removal of the comp scene has been hitting me a lot harder than expected. It's had a pretty big ripple effect through all aspects of my life. Guess I never realized exactly how ingrained into my life LoR was. I should be back soon

We've seen a lot of games crank the aggro on their monetization to 11 recently while Runeterra remains at like a 2. I dropped $100 like 9-10 months ago and still have $30 left. There's just nothing to spend money on in that game

fizz never dying, ken/ahri/eye/azir in pink region, akshan/challenger in pump spell region, heimer/zap/tf/mayor all get instant value so this is a horrible trade for quietus user, Neverglade/Elise = glimps, Veigar gets revived, and I'm ngl I forgot teemo was even a card

I understand that champions are the main hype point of every set but I think an anti-champion expansion would be really cool. Like a bunch of followers who reward you for playing only one champion or no champions. If done well I think it could really amplify deck building choices

At the end of my 4th year of casting, I've hit the ceiling in LoR. I did every single event this year as well as the Worlds finals, so I can't really improve year to year in a tangible sense anymore. Not really sure what that means for me yet.

In patch 1.14 we got a metagame snapshot and the sentence "We’d like to start periodically sharing some of the metagame data we use to inform our balance updates over time, with a few key goals in doing so". This was the first and last time they did this.

When it comes to claims like this its really easy to think yourself in circles arguing for or against. I like to add in a human example
If you're friend was a huge combo-only player in other games and wanted to try LoR, would you confidently tell them to try Scouts?
Btw Scouts is combo bc it sets up and plays for a big combo turn instead of just jamming units for pressure (like aggro) or taking value board trades for the long game (like most midrange).
It takes lots of dmg and foregoes trades to set up a big turn. Hallmarks of combo in LoR
