This vehicle was recovered for obstructing the highway. Multiple pedestrians were put at risk. Whilst waiting for recovery, another driver thought it would be a good idea to use his mobile phone whilst waiting at the lights. He was reported for the offence

Fantastic work by @ResponseWMP C unit Stechford. Swift work resulted in one in custody for driving whilst under the influence of cannabis. Whilst @BordesleyWMP assisted with vehicle recovery, another driver was reported for driving without a seatbelt #SafeRoads

@tribester1 We aim to take a sensible approach, due to the small driveways here, of a double pushchair/mobility scooter. If one of those can not get past then this will be an obstruction and in most cases dangerous

@XONYT_ We do regular speed enforcement in the area and have the option of community speedwatches if the community are interested. Just contact us and we can arrange it. We also have some planned operations in the new year around safety on our road network

@Pingman28 @ZH956 @tribester1 You are correct. By leaving there vehicle in this position, it forces other road users to walk out into the road to be able to get around the vehicle putting them in a dangerous situation

@Madeiradriv Derek, We all have competing demands. Through many community meetings, parking in Bordesley Green has always been a top concern so it is one of our priorities and try to do regular enforcement on top of the other great work we are doing
